Enter Online Training
Is the online payment system secure

The payment form is held on the servers of The Active Network in San Diego - one of only 300 companies in the world to be granted PCI (Payment Card Industry) Level 1 status, on a par with most banks. The servers are more secure than Amazon for example.

The Dragon Ride site is the holding frame for the online entry form and its security is therefore irrelevant when entering.

On the form you can also see both McAfee Secure Tested and Truste Certified Privacy logos for extra peace of mind for any entrant.

How can I check I have entered?

Check the entry list (when posted)

A provisional entry list will be posted on the website as soon as time allows, this will show your rider number.

I have entered the wrong ride distance?

This is not a problem, you are able to change between the Gran or Medio Fondo routes whilst on the event, depending how you feel on the day. We include this tick box as an indication for ourselves of the split between the 2 distances. Those entered on to the Corto 40km ride will not be able to change to one of the longer rides.

Group / team entries
This year we are able to enter you in groups or teams, just add your friends or team mates names and details when you enter.

Can I get on the reserve list?

We will not be compiling a list of reserves

In the unlikely event that any further places become available we would open up the online entry list for a short period. Advanced notice will be given. Please check the website www.dragonride.co.uk regularly for notification. We do not have the capacity to contact you individually.

No more registrations will be available once the entry list is full.

Can I withdraw from the event?

As detailed in the rules and regulations we will not be refunding any entry fees if you are unable to take part on the ride. We will however allow you to transfer your entry to a friend for a £10 administration fee. Transfer forms are available by clicking the attached link:

Transfer entry form 2012

Please see rules and regulations on the website, regarding withdrawals and transfer of names.

Postal Entries

Postal entries will no longer be accepted.

Registration / Signing on for the event

Riders numbers which will include the disposable timing chip will be posted out in the weeks prior to the event. There is no need to register or sign on on the day of the event, you simply turn up and ride.

What do I do with my timing chip/transponder after the event or if I am unable to attend?

The timing chip/ transponder is attached to the back of the laminated bike number and is now fully disposable - we do not require you to return these after the ride or if you are unable to take part.

Event start procedure

The start procedure for the 2012 event will be as follows. Riders will line up along the spinal road of Margam Park as you arrive in numerical order. Riders will leave in groups of 125 in two minute intervals from 07.30.

Corto entrants will depart approximately 15 minutes after the last of the Gran/Medio riders have left. Corto riders will not be able to access the Gran Fondo or Medio Fondo routes.
